Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled manufacturing process engineer to drive efficiency and excellence in the production operations. You will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the seamless introduction of new products and assembly lines. This role requires close collaboration with the manufacturing team in China.

Drive continuous process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and design for manufacturability (DFM) changes to enhance product quality and efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for process abnormalities and customer complaints. Implement and maintain process control measures for assembly operations. Lead the localization of components and support the purchaser with vendor development. Prepare and maintain all critical process documentation, including Work Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Control Plans, and Process Verification reports in compliance with ISO requirements. Manage the Product Structure and Routing data within the Mfg/Pro ERP system. Oversee document control for assembly machines and related processes. Manage the machine buy-off process and lead the setup and commissioning of new assembly lines. Facilitate the transfer of products from other sites as part of cost-reduction programs. Review tooling drawings for process changes or design improvements. Train assembly technicians and supervisors on standard operating procedures and best practices. Ensure compliance with all Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) requirements.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, or a related field. 3-4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and process engineering within a manufacturing environment. Experience with automatic connector assembly processes is a strong advantage.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory

to effectively liaise with the manufacturing team in China. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and pneumatic assembly equipment. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Mfg/Pro) is highly desirable. Must be willing to travel to Kulai as required.

Meal Allowance - RM 2 per day

13 Months Salary/year (paid on first week Jan)
