Job Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Directly manage a team of Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and technicians, and take full responsibility for the teams\xe2\x80\x99 development and workload scheduling. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides technical and program-level support and guidance to the team, including execution strategies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that design verifications and design validations are carried out to confirm the design with assistance from relevant system/subsystem engineers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify necessary technical skills required in upcoming projects and opportunities. Structure training and ensure the team is sufficiently trained in time to breach this competency gap. \xe2\x80\xa2 Align and harmonise process and Milestone deliverables for ME discipline. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform quality checks on the production team processes, sub-assembly and modules. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure timely completion of team\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables for each work package, Project Milestones and tender proposals within budget using both technical engineering and administrative skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Architect solutions together with a specialist for each project. \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitate resolving escalated technical issues from the team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan and manage manpower for training, operation and on-site service. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide weekly production plan and schedule to project manager/director. Job Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. \xe2\x80\xa2 More than 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in leading a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in computer-aided drafting and design e.g. SolidWorks or AutoCAD. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate Leadership capabilities and possess excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills (both written and verbal), as the successful candidate will facilitate the link between Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain. \xe2\x80\xa2 Involvement in Continual Improvement initiatives (e.g. 5S, Lean, Kaizen).
