Every minute of every day, our technology and talented team members help to make the world a safer place -The Assembly Technician performs assigned product assembly, testing and rework operations in the manufacture of X-Ray equipment.This is a Fixed term Contract role for 6 months.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities -

  • Perform assembly, test and rework of sub-assemblies and final assembly of units by following written work instructions, blue prints and schematics.
  • Follow process, policies and procedures and accurately complete manufacturing and test documentation as required
  • Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen events, Cycle Counting, 5S etc.
  • Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Comply with all applicable corporate and regulatory export control and security regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The IndividualSkills & Experience -
  • Diploma / High school \xe2\x80\x9cO\xe2\x80\x9d level or equivalent
  • With or without experience in a similar role in an engineering/ manufacturing or related industry preferred
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and experience working with small hand tools and electronic test equipment
  • English verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles including Kanban, Cycle counting, 5S
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
