Job Description


Jadestone Energy is an independent oil and gas production company focused on the Asia Pacific region. In 2021, Jadestone acquired SapuraOMV\'s assets in Peninsular Malaysia. These assets include interests in four licenses, two of which Jadestone has operated since the 2021 acquisition. These include a 70% operated interest in the PM329 PSC, containing the East Piatu field, and a 60% operated interest in the PM323 PSC, which contains the East Belumut, West Belumut and Chermingat fields. In addition, Jadestone acquired a 50% non-operated working interest in the PM318 and AAKBNLP PSCs, which were operated by PETRONAS Carigali. Jadestone assumed operatorship and full interest of those two PSCs earlier this year and is now engaged with PETRONAS on a path to unlocking additional value through these assets. Outside of Malaysia, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in the Stag oilfield and in the Montara project, both offshore Australia. Both the Stag and Montara assets include oil producing fields, with further development and exploration potential. The Company also has a 16.67% non-operated interest in the North West Shelf Oil Project offshore Western Australia, comprising four oil fields containing significant upside potential through potential infill drilling and life extension activities. Further, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in two gas development blocks in Southwest Vietnam, and an operated 100% interest in the Lemang PSC, onshore Sumatra, Indonesia, which includes the Akatara gas field development, where first production is expected in the first half of 2024. Most recently, the Company acquired a non-operated 9.52% interest in the Sinphuhorm producing gas field onshore Thailand. This role will report to the Engineering and Maintenance Superintendent supporting the Senior Integrity Engineer and Senior Inspection Engineer in delivery of the work scope. Principle Accountabilities: Strategy Policy, Processes and Practices Assist to develop and implement the AIM philosophies, strategies, processes and procedures in compliance with the AIM Standard and contribute to the formulation of work practices in order to provide guidelines for safe and efficient operations. Assist to lead the development and implementation of departmental procedures and controls of AIM so that relevant procedural and/or legislative requirements are fulfilled, whilst delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Commission a formal annual AIM review for BU, identify gaps and develop plans to eliminate gaps. Ensure that organizational structure is appropriate to support all AIM activities and associated roles and responsibilities are defined in job descriptions. Ensure that AIM requirements for assigned new-build projects are realized. Establish Integrity related Key Processes and Procedure for development and operational phase. Review the design works and studies performed by the engineering consultants and ensure that they are in accordance with the technical requirements. Review and approve drawings, specification and technical documents for all technical integrity design related work. Maintain a complete record of technical deliverables and correspondence to support design decisions and equipment selection, documenting all key engineering calculations. Assist to develop and implement Jadestone Energy Asset Integrity Management Assurance Plan. Oversee Asset Integrity work performed by consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion and compliance with the technical specifications and contract or purchase order. Management of safety equipment/material vendors to evaluate technical bids, review vendor documentation, and attends factory acceptance tests and pre-commissioning field tests for the full range of equipment / materials. Review and coordinate integrity works both onshore and offshore and provide instruction and guidance to construction personnel on technical issues in line with the project requirements. Manage integrity related projects and scopes. Assist to review competency of contractor\'s Integrity Inspectors, Specialist Technicians and Certification Engineers at the construction yard and offshore, ensuring that they are adequately skilled to carry out their duties and that they follow Jadestone\'s Energy procedures to proficient standards and comply with relevant legislative requirements. Monitor/audit/review of project contractor integrity work to ensure contractors complies with Jadestone\'s Energy requirements with respect to technical integrity. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Ensure RBI Plans are in place and up to date. Review and approve inspection plans. Carry out Fit for Purpose (FFP) and Remnant Life calculations for reported anomalies; identify and review remedial action requirements with supporting evidence. Operations Monitor the pipelines pigging reports in order to verify that the conditions of the pipelines are Fit for Purpose (FFP). Liaise with the facilities operations teams for the inspection and recertification of topsides static equipment and piping. Assist to liaise with the facilities operations teams for the inspection of topside Provide input to QA/QC plans for construction of and repairs to facilities pressure containment systems. Execute facilities topsides static equipment inspections to assure the integrity of hazardous product containment equipment and piping. Oversee the crane recertification; verify the completeness and quality of the records of inspections. Lifting Equipment Assist to ensure certificated LE are in compliance to OSRMS & Jadestone\'s Energy LEMS. Audit lifting equipment inspection and recertification process. Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within the assigned area of asset integrity to protect employee safety, ensure legislative compliance, deliver high quality services, whilst being mindful of the environment. Experience, Skills and Knowledge Minimum 10 years of experience in Asset Integrity Assurance and Engineering in an upstream Oil and Gas facilities related to the followings: Experience of working as part of a multi discipline team for facilities engineering, operations and HSSE Professional engineering certification, experience and intimate working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practice such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC 2, API RP 510, API RP 570, API 598, API 579, API RP 583, API RP 571, API RP 2SIM, and any other professional certification related to Asset Integrity is a mandatory requirement. Experience in offshore structure integrity management, i.e., Structure Asset Life Extension, anomaly management, inspection, etc. is an added advantage. Experience in pressure equipment integrity management, i.e., risk-based inspection, fitness-for-service assessment, asset life extension, anomaly management, inspection, etc. is an added advantage. Well experienced in most if not all readily available inspection methods and techniques including advanced and specialized NDT. Well experienced in conducting anomalies fitness-for-service analysis, root cause failure analysis/investigation, lab report analysis and reporting. Bad actor management Well experienced in turnaround/shutdown inspection scope implementation, and asset integrity performance review and management. Candidate Profile Ability to coordinate multiple tasks (planning, organizing, control) Logical thinking and analytical skills Problem solving skills. Strong technical communication skills and good interpersonal skills Documentation management and technical report writing skills. NDE/NDT inspection skills. Must be capable and prepared to work offshore as needed in the course of surveys, inspections, and oversight work.
