Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, production lines, or electrical systems. Perform routine inspections to identify and report mechanical or electrical issues. Support in troubleshooting and diagnosing minor technical problems under supervision. Ensure all maintenance tools, equipment, and materials are properly handled and stored. Follow safety procedures and company standards during maintenance or repair work. Assist in recording maintenance activities and preparing daily work reports. Support preventive maintenance programs and scheduled servicing of machines. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Technician or Supervisor. Operate and monitor food processing machinery, mixers, ovens, packaging lines, and related equipment. Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and minor maintenance tasks. Monitor critical control points (temperature, weight, timing) and document results. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety protocols. Report any equipment malfunctions or deviations in product quality to the supervisor immediately. Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines during product transitions. Accurately complete production records, logs, and other documentation as required.

Requirements:

Education:

Minimum SPM or Certificate/Diploma in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

1-2 years in a food manufacturing or processing environment is preferred.

Skills:

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP, GMP) Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions accurately Good teamwork and communication skills Physically fit and able to work in cold, hot, or wet environments Able to read and understand simple technical drawings or manuals.

Working Conditions:

Rotating shifts (day/night/weekend) may be required. Shift or overtime work may be necessary depending on operational needs. Exposure to noise, humidity, and temperature-controlled environments.
