About the team
Finance, APAC
Finance team plays a critical role in supporting GBG's strategic goals through effective financial planning, analysis and control. You'll be joining a collaborative and dynamic team that values accuracy, transparency and continuous improvement. Our team culture is supportive and open, with a strong emphasis on knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
The Role
As an Assistant Accountant, the key responsibilities include assisting with daily accounting tasks, preparing journal entries, payroll computation, supporting month-end closing and maintaining accurate financial records. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, organized, independent and eager to learn.
What you will do

• Processing and allocation of overhead costs including payroll journals
• Process of purchase invoices through the Medius system to ensure that invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis
• Process of sales invoices.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and recommend improvements to finance operations processes and procedures

Skills we are looking for

• A trainee/part-qualified accountant.
• Someone who is confident and self-motivated with a true passion for this type of role.
• The ability to autonomously plan your workload and focus on the right priorities
• The ability to communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve any queries
• Good computer literacy skills - particularly Excel
• A highly motivated individual, that brings energy and confidence, that is target driven and able to work as part of a team
• You will be able to demonstrate a positive, engaging, hard-working approach and exhibit the company values
• Someone who seeks to maximise opportunities; i.e. challenges ways of working, sets and adopts regional practices, seeks and provides information and clarification.
