Job Description

Job Scope:

Assist in the daily operation of the boiler system to ensure continuous steam supply for production activities. Monitor boiler pressure, temperature and water levels, ensuring all parameters remain within the safe operating range. Perform routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance on boiler equipment and related machinery. Assist in troubleshooting boiler issues and report any abnormalities to the Boiler Operator or Supervisor immediately. Support preventive maintenance activities according to the company's maintenance schedule. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including handling chemicals, steam systems and hot surfaces safely. Maintain proper housekeeping of the boiler room and keep all operational records updated. Assist during breakdowns and work closely with the maintenance team to restore operations promptly.

Requirements

At least

SPM / Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Engineering

or equivalent. Basic knowledge of boiler operation is an advantage, but

training can be provided

. Preferably

1 year experience

working with boilers, utilities, or maintenance in a factory environment. Able to assist in monitoring boiler pressure, temperature, water level, and daily operational checks. Able to perform simple maintenance such as cleaning, minor adjustments, and reporting abnormalities. Familiar with safety procedures involving hot steam, chemicals (treatment chemicals), and high-pressure equipment. Basic understanding of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, pipelines) is an added advantage.
