Job Description


Job Brief:

Responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted towards new and existing markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Ensure the hotel achieves it budgeted occupancy and revenue through driving room and banquet sales.

:

1. To increase hotel occupancy, average rate and profits through planning, guidance and training of hotel sales personnel.

2. To represent hotel on sales functions and needs in the development of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s sales policy.

3. To achieve objectives set in the Business Plans.

4. Responds to sales inquiries, initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicit potential clients, conduct site visits, determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyse lost business for the hotel.

5. To develop and maintain and improves business relations with all customers of the company.

6. To develop and implement plans for strategic accounts that exceeded expectations in revenue, retention/growth, account profitability and customer satisfaction.

7. To lead and influence sales team by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.

8. Proactively identifying, qualifying, and soliciting new business to achieve hotel revenue goals.

9. To maintain Sales filing system and to create individual account files; to monitor this data via the Key Account database system.

10. To update and utilize of account management process and reporting systems

11. To establish sales targets and highlight any variances with actual sales figures and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances.

12. To direct the development of special marketing plans to special accounts and unique sales and marketing situations.

13. To define and target markets to be solicited utilising data contained in the system and develop an appropriate sales solicitation strategy for both domestic and international markets.

14. To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.

15. Establish a planned program for sales coaching, working with sales team on all aspects of sales process for maximum efficiency.

16. To understand the overall market \xe2\x80\x93 competitors\xe2\x80\x99 strengths and weakness, economic trends, supply and demand, etc.

17. Coordinates sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Hotel

18. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate should possess a Professional Certificates, Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality / Tourism / Hotel Management
  • Preferably at least 5 years of related working experience.
  • Preferably undefined specializing in Sales / Marketing or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills in English,Malay language for both spoken and written
  • 1 Full-time/Permanent positions available
