Key Responsibilities

1. Production Support

Monitor daily injection moulding operations to ensure consistent quality and output.

2. Process Optimization

Support process engineers in developing and optimizing injection moulding parameters for new and existing products. Conduct time studies, cycle time reduction, and scrap reduction activities. Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and suggest improvements.

3. Quality Assurance

Coordinate with the QA team to address defects or non-conformities. Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Tooling and Maintenance

Assist in basic maintenance of moulds and machines (cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs). Coordinate with the tooling department for mould servicing and preventive maintenance schedules.

5. Safety and Compliance

Follow and enforce workplace safety standards, 5S practices, and company policies. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and audit requirements.

6. Continuous Improvement

Participate in kaizen, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects. Provide feedback to engineering and design teams for product/mould improvements.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Proficient understanding of injection moulding machines and plastic processing. Familiarity with various thermoplastics (e.g., ABS, PP, PC, Nylon). Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to work in a shift-based or fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assist in setting up moulds and machines during changeovers. Troubleshoot minor process issues to minimize downtime. Ensure proper documentation of production logs, parameters, and deviations.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
