Job Description

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage and maintain a full set of accounts (GL, AR, AP, Cashbook, Fixed Assets). Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS/IFRS. Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of financial reports to management. Perform reconciliations of bank, suppliers, and intercompany accounts.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Monitor budget performance and highlight variances with corrective actions. Provide financial insights to support operational efficiency and cost control.

3. Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation laws, and statutory regulations. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities. Prepare tax computations, SST submissions, and other statutory filings.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements. Ensure proper control of payments, collections, and banking activities. Support treasury functions including fund transfers and loan monitoring.

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets. Review and improve financial procedures and policies. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

6. Leadership & Team Support

Supervise and guide the finance/accounts team in daily operations. Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to subordinates. Support the Finance Manager in ad-hoc assignments and projects.

Requirement Highlights

Degree in Accounting/Finance or Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA). Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in supervisory role. Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, and financial reporting standards. Hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
