Bachelor's Degreein Accounting, Finance, or related field (Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage).
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably within the service, hospitality, or sports/event industry.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Proficient in SQL Accounting Software or equivalent ERP system.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
Able to work independently, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities Financial Operations & Reporting
Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Cash Flow Management.
Verify and process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payment vouchers in the accounting system (SQL Accounting System).
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Perform bank reconciliations, statement of accounts, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Monitor budget utilization and prepare variance analysis reports.
Assist in preparing financial forecasts and annual budgets.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS accounting standards, internal policies, and local statutory requirements (LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, SST, E-Invoicing, HRDF, etc.).
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
Implement and monitor internal financial controls to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
Sports Arena & Event Finance Support
Manage daily cash sales and rental payments for sports arena facilities and events.
Reconcile event revenues, sponsorship payments, and operational expenses.
Coordinate with the event operations team to track budgets and monitor profit margins for sports tournaments and corporate bookings.
Support financial planning for upcoming events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Team Management & Administrative Support
Supervise and provide guidance to the finance and accounts team.
Coordinate with the HR and Operations departments for payroll and staff-related reimbursements.
Support the Finance Manager/Director in ad-hoc analyses, audits, and improvement initiatives.
Carry out other financial or administrative assignments as required by management.
