About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and motivated

Assistant Hydrographic Surveyor

to support hydrographic survey operations for our dredging and marine construction projects. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates who want to gain hands-on experience in the marine and hydrographic surveying industry under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup, operation, and demobilization of hydrographic survey equipment, including SBES, RTK GPS, and related instruments. Support the execution of pre- and post-dredging bathymetric surveys. Collect, organize, and document field survey data. Provide on-site logistical support to Surveyors and Project Engineers. Assist in maintaining and calibrating survey equipment. Comply with all HSE and quality protocols throughout survey operations. Perform other duties as required to support project execution.

Requirements:

1. Certificate or Diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field.

2. 0-3 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

3. Basic understanding of hydrographic survey principles and equipment.

4. Willing and able to work in offshore and remote project locations.

5. Team-oriented with a good attitude and willingness to learn.

6. Physically fit and able to work long hours in marine conditions.

Proficient in both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Preferred:

1. Exposure to hydrographic survey software such as AutoCAD, or HydroPRO

2. Familiarity with dredging or marine infrastructure projects.

Working days & hours:

Mondays - Fridays: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm

Saturdays (Alternate: Twice per Month): 8.00 am to 12.00 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
