Assistant Legal Manager (in House)

Job Description


  • To assist and manage the legal department in handling & dealing with all matters referred to it and to provide advice and guidance accordingly.
  • To conduct research work and prepare legal opinions for the Company on matters arising and affecting the Company from time to time.
  • To liaise with external solicitors by giving instructions, receipt of opinions and update of litigation status.
  • To ensure adherence to the statutory, regulatory and internal corporate requirements.
Job Requirements
  • Recognized Law degree with at least 4 years related working experience in an established legal firm and/or performing as legal counsel in a large organisation.
  • Experience in handling corporate and financial exercises as well as property matters.
  • Able to provide practical solutions to complex legal issues within short and limited timeline.
  • An excellent command of verbal and written English & Malay
  • Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage as the role requires dealing with Mandarin speaking clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, management, planning & organize, negotiation and drafting skills with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
