Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide Service & Parts business of the Mercedes-Benz Group.

The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

• Key responsible accounting person in overseeing the handling and the execution of accounting functions of Regional Logistics Center transaction (from purchases, duty handling, fund allocation and settlement to MBAG).

• Responsible for managing Account Payables reporting and analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Responsible on the handling the Financial Checks for vendors during consideration for any advance/deposit payment.

• Responsible for analyzing, managing, and handling the non-PO purchases and ageing report.

• Assist in handling corporate tax filing and compliance.

• Assist in handling custom duty related matter.

• Liaising with SSC on the management of vendors, monthly IC Confirmation, vendor balance reconciliation, and other associated tasks to account payables.

• Overseeing and monitoring the fund allocation requirement, payment executions and ICS control performance.

• Assist in the policy/guideline/processes and Account Payables related forms update when necessary.

• Handles all parts importations, advance payment request, staff claim approval, vendor master data creation approval and Travel Agent invoices clearing with Paying Agent statement & resolve all unreconciled items.

• Assist in follow up with all parties to ensure all invoices posted, paid, and cleared on time.

• Manage and assist supplier handling, reconciliation, and other associated tasks to Account Payables.

• Responsible for the reporting and analysis of inventories to ensure there is no discrepancy between the book record and physical.

• Responsible in asset creation, capitalization and tagging.

• Responsible in asset management related matters.

• Collaboration with business stakeholders on the ad-hoc project handling.

• Degree / Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.

• Minimum 5 years of working experiences.

• Experience in SAP system.

• Strong accounting knowledge.

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.

• Possess strong compliance towards work.

• Possess strong drive for solutions to situations and problems.

• Independent and self-driven personality.

• Professional in approach to work environment.

• Able to conduct work and business discussions across departments in a professional manner.

• Able to assist to complete review and reporting submissions timely and in an organized and professional way.

• Strong computer application knowledge.

• Good communications skills (verbal and written) in English. Other languages are of an added advantage.
