Job Description

The position is an administrative position at the Sarawak Campus. The appointee is

reporting to the Manager, Building Facilities and is responsible for areas as designated by

the Manager, Building Facilities. The appointee will be responsible for the following:

repair and maintenance; sourcing and purchasing of consumables; fire safety; asset and energy management; maintenance of building and M&E system; and support services for events.
This position will also be required to work closely with other staff members on campus.

JOB SUMMARY



Oversee the upkeep of all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, ensuring optimal functionality, preventive and corrective maintenance, and adherence to industry standards. Plan, monitor, and control building operating budgets, implement cost-effective procedures, and recommend facility improvements while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Lead troubleshooting and maintenance activities, resolve issues promptly, and introduce innovative solutions, including AI-driven technologies, to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor and optimize energy consumption, implement efficiency measures, and ensure the M&E systems' performance aligns with sustainability goals while minimizing breakdowns and outages. Provide strong leadership, supervise, encourage and support the work of
subordinates within the Maintenance section.

Proficient in managing centralized air conditioning and LV electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve faults effectively. Practise safe work habits and comply with Occupational Safety and Health
regulations with proper use and care of Personal Protection Equipment.

Liaise and interact with other external parties such as contractors, service providers, government authorities and vendors on relevant matters. Prepare and provide accurate reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS



Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience. At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity, with demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Candidates must be a certified Chargeman L1. A sound knowledge and skilful in the safe use of hand and power tools and other
materials required to perform troubleshoot, repair and maintenance tasks.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and support team members. Willingness to work beyond regular office hours and remain flexible in meeting urgent stakeholder needs and operational demands.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
