Reporting to: Senior Manager, Sime Darby Oils Biodiesel Your Mission You will be responsible for the development and implementation of pricing strategy and evaluation of pricing for the products and services of Sime Darby Oils Biodiesel (SDOB). The role will formulate and provide pricing guidance for deals, delivering monthly pricing updates and product profitability analysis to the commercial team and the management. You will be in frequent contact with our sales and supply chain team, commercial team, operations team, finance, procurement and senior management team and periodically with group trading team and external customers. Pricing Prepare and drive regular discussions on pricing strategy and provide competitive pricing insights. Develop and propose pricing for new deals Lead on-going pricing activities Analyse and ensure that proposed pricing meets business/product target margins. Benchmark and monitor pricing strategy vs competition. Develop and define pricing structures by reviewing customer trends, with clear understanding of the impact of pricing on profit margins. Conduct regular analysis to assess pricing effectiveness versus the business plan. Comply to Business Unit SOP and Groupwide Policy Define and disseminate best practices in pricing process and execution. Responsible for maintaining and updating the pricing database Familiar with price references and publications Costing Perform cost, price and financial analysis to provide insights to commercial, operation team and business unit head. Analyse cost trends Keep track of raw materials and chemicals pricing and trends Partner with Senior Manager and Finance Head to review product profitability. Work with HODs to assist them to understand the cost breakdown and develop cost improvement initiatives. Review resources availability, capacity and utilization (raw materials, chemicals, plant, logistic) Ideal Profile Degree in Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Science or other related field with minimum of 5 years working experiences (preferably in the manufacturing or trading environment) Exposure in Marketing & Sales / Trading/ Manufacturing /Planning functions Relevant experience with well-known price publications/ research / consulting firm is an advantage Strong analytical and quantitative skills Ability to communicate complex pricing concepts effectively either verbally or in writing Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and assumptions based on data and analysis Willing and capable of facilitating change in organization General understanding of financial and cost accounting practices Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & other relevant software Proven negotiation skills and commercial judgment Why Join Us Flexible Benefits Coverage Learning on Demand Employee Wellness Programme Employee Engagement Activities Education Assistance (terms & conditions apply) Embark on a captivating career journey with us!
