BAT GBS FINANCE MALAYSIA IS LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANCE MANAGER - CORPORATE FINANCE

SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Management

FUNCTION: Global Business Services Finance

SALARY RANGE: Starting at RM7,000 + excellent benefits + market leading bonus

LOCATION: Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of GBS Corporate Finance Team. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively manage the delivery of Supply Chain Finance activities and helping in Group Management and Statutory Reporting information in line with the agreed service level agreements for Australia End Market. Group Management information will include financial information and scenarios required for S&OP meetings, budget and for actuals. This will include co-ordination of assumption and other data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial information and quality review. The role includes delivering Month End, Half Year, Fast Close and Year End financial reporting while identifying Operational Efficiencies in supply chain finance key areas to achieve BAU results.

The Assistant Corporate Finance Manager clearly understands the business dynamics in terms of stakeholder management, budget management and supporting the business in the process of decision-making for the end market.

Reports to: Corporate Finance Manager

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Supervise and control activities related to Supply Chain Finance process and system(s) to assure accurate accounting reporting and system controls
  • Handling accounting policy and procedure inquiries and ad hoc reporting and analysis requests - providing periodic site training & issue resolution
  • Ensure business needs and relationships are fulfilled and improved through proactive involvement and interaction
  • Develop and assist in automating processes utilizing innovative technical and processing solutions
  • Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements
  • Coordinating with the global process owners on the implementation of reporting changes, which includes submission of comprehensive business specifications where technology improvements are required, providing training and user testing resources to test improvements
  • Review and validation of country\'s financial & management data handoff to highlight data integrity issues
  • Should work as a trouble shooter for Supply Chain Finance related issues within ECC and other reporting systems.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Understand the impact of the accounting processes and practices and any changes in accounting standards.
  • A detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC or SAP equivalent
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills to collaborate and coordinate effectively within the DRBU, with stakeholders at varying levels in the organisational hierarchy.
  • Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
  • Meticulous, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision to contribute to change in a dynamic environment.
  • Able and willing to provide mentorship to subordinates, strong leadership traits and capability.
  • Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial data.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and urgency
  • Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional accountancy qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will be an added advantage.
