Job Purpose

To support the Engineering Manager in overseeing the daily engineering operations of the property, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory requirements. This role ensures high standards of maintenance to support guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Support the daily operations and supervision of the Engineering team. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for all M&E systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, fire protection systems, STP, and generators. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise disruptions. Supervise technicians and ensure work is completed safely and according to procedures. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs and scheduled servicing. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, workplace safety standards, and statutory requirements. Maintain complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation. Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, plant rooms, and back of house. Respond to guest requests and manage service recovery for engineering related issues. Support energy efficiency initiatives and cost control measures. Assist with inventory management for spare parts, tools, and consumables. Support internal and external audits and inspections. Participate in shift duties and emergency standby rotations.
Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering or any related field. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in hotel or serviced residence engineering operations. Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, fire safety systems, and building maintenance. Supervisory experience is an added advantage. Good leadership, planning, and problem solving skills. Physically fit and able to handle emergency situations. Good communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of local authority regulations and safety standards is required.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
