:

  • Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations of the plant utilities & facilities effectively and efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate budget for operational and capital expenditure of utility section and review together with Complex Engineering Manager to be approved in yearly basis
  • Setting the target and key performance indicator and monitor and taking follow up action aligning with department objective/goal under supervisory of Complex Engineering Manager
  • Plan, implement, evaluate preventive maintenance program to ensure facility equipment (Air-conditioning, Air Compressor, Passenger Lift, Electric Hoist, Fire-Fighting System, Water Pump system, PABX system, Lightning Protection system), Waste Disposal, Building Maintenance are properly maintained, meet service quality and effectiveness
  • Maintain all tools & equipment provided by the company to perform the maintenance works are kept in good working condition.
  • Lead and supervise electrical installation work according to drawings, designs, requirements, and instructions according to SOPs and update the drawing document in the filing
  • Maintain all LV and HT (up to 33kV) electrical installations in good condition and complied to statutory requirement of Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia).
  • To carry out daily inspection and monitoring for HT and LV switchboards, bus-ducts, transformers, switchgears and TNB supply and record the status of the equipment in the chargeman daily logbook
  • Lead and supervise the schedule inspections and testing of standby generator, fire pumps, sump pumps and record the status of the equipment in the weekly/monthly report
  • Carry out switching work and commencing work and Switch ON and Switch OFF the electrical equipment, system and machinery as required to be carried out by competent persons as per described in the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and the Electricity Regulations 1994
  • Lead and supervise the preparation of Certification of Fitness (CF) by DOSH for any Steam Boilers (PMD), Hoisting Equipment (PMA), Lifting Equipment (PMA) - Pressure vessel (PMT), liaises with Safety & Health Officer (SHO)
  • Lead and supervise the preparation of Bomba Certification and liaise with competent appointed contractor and SHO
  • Lead and supervise the weighbridge calibration and liaise with Metrology Agency and contractor.
  • Attend and lead any trouble shoot of weighbridge abnormality and failure and liaise with contractor
  • Promote and enforce safe work procedure and safe practices, where safety regulation, rules are adhered to with the necessary PPE issued to workers to prevent accident.
  • Lead, educate and implement 5S housekeeping for the workshop including equipment, tools, and all other model areas
  • Plan, implement and evaluate any project related to utility and delivering the project on time and on budget
  • To assist the engineer in electrical trouble shooting and commissioning works
  • To participate in the continuous improvement program/cost savings projects in the area utility and electrical maintenance
  • Analyze training needs, skill gaps, plan and conduct in-house training and propose external training for subordinates to upgrade their skill and knowledge within the department where needed for enhancing productivity, staff learning & growth and career advancement.
  • Prepare monthly reports - utility usage, projects, capital expenditures, evaluate service vendors/contractor.
  • Prepare a monthly preventive maintenance report on utility and facility equipment
  • Check and acknowledge the monthly utility bill (electric, water & fuel)
  • Assign team member to take meter readings of utility (electric, water & fuel) and report any abnormality or defects
  • Perform any other works or responsibilities assigned by the Management related to engineering & maintenance
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering Electrical or equivalent.
  • At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Pasir Gudang.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Facilities & Electrical or equivalent.
