Job Description

Perform internal controls audits / business consulting projects comprising J-SOX, Fraud Control, Legal Compliance and Management Audits based on the approved Audit Plan of the Financial Year within the Asia Pacific Region.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Head of Internal Audit, Asia Pacific Region.
• Manage and execute the full spectrum of internal audit / business consulting projects (from planning to timely completion) in various business companies within the region to determine financial reliability, operational effectiveness and compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. Ensure adherence to the Global Internal Audit (GIA) HQ methodology.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in business processes, and compliance with all applicable standards, regulations and company policies, as well as identify issues and concerns in pursuit of practical and value-added recommendations for the management.
• Reviews self / staff's documentation and ensures that all working papers are in complete order (accurate, logical and concise in accordance with professional standards, clearly describing the work performed, test results and conclusions reached) prior to submission to the Head of Internal Audit for further review.
• Communicate and resolve issues and obtain management buy-in with constructive recommendations.
• Articulate findings clearly, and support in preparing succinct reports.
• Performs active follow-ups on audit plans and implementation of remediation actions / recommendations.
• Stays abreast of updates in company policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing standards.
• Maintains open communication with management and assist the Head of Internal Audit in regional audit planning and coordination.
• Prepares pre and post fieldwork presentation materials and participate in review meetings with Global Internal Audit (GIA) HQ.
• Provides periodic / ad-hoc trainings as well as close support to business units / companies in the region on the J-SOX Control Self-Assessment (CSA) documentation tool for various issues raised.
• Champions / supports the department digitalization initiatives for higher efficiency and effective collaboration / work practices.
• Occasional participation in global audit / business consulting projects with a multinational team and flexibility to work across different time zones as and when necessary.
• Performs other department related initiatives or other assignments on specific risks and issues as required by the company.

• Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business or equivalent professional qualifications.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and / or Certified Fraud Examiner
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in audit (internal / external) / business consulting / risk management.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools and / or Audit Management software such as ACL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, IDEA, AuditBoard, TeamMate+, Diligent or equivalent etc.
• Strong leadership, organizational, project and time management skills.
• Highly driven individual, a team player who is also able to work well independently, and under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proactive, possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, is meticulous and has an eye for detail.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work.

• Able to travel up to 70% to countries in the Asia Pacific Region.
