Job Description

Summary Generally, providing proactive and reactive legal services on issues involving AMB and its subsidiaries (collectively the \xe2\x80\x9cCompanies\xe2\x80\x9d). You\'ll be responsible for:

• Provide legal advice as general in-house legal counsel to the Companies. Participate in initiatives, exercises, projects and schemes undertaken by the Companies and provide legal input thereon.
• Address all legal implications, prepare/review all legal documents (including insurance product review and the ancillary documents) and recommend effective and appropriate actions/remedies/highlight key risk areas to the relevant stakeholders and ensure that the Companies\xe2\x80\x99 interests are protected and exposure to risks reduced/eliminated.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by head of department.

Important to your success:

• Qualified lawyer admitted to the High Court of Malaya with minimum 5 to 7 years in practice, with some experience as in-house legal counsel.
• Some familiarity with insurance related matters and the Financial Services Act, 2013.
• Self-managing, systematic, organised, willing to learn and able to multitask.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work in a team and independently.
• Capable of strategic thinking, analytical and meticulous.
• Interested to take on challenging work and work well under pressure.
• In-house lawyers from financial institutions and ability to conduct training with good presentation skills are added advantages.
