Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating, a broad range of construction contracts (EPCC, build-only, turnkey) and well-versed with the industry standard form contracts such as PAM, PWD, FIDIC, CIDB and JCT standard forms.
Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating different types of construction-related contracts relating to consultancy services agreements, maintenance agreements, joint venture agreements, collaboration agreements, pre-bid/tender agreements, confidentiality agreements, novation agreements, assignments etc.
Responsibilities include pre-contract negotiation, preparation of contracts, and project advisory during the construction and implementation of projects.
Liaising with external lawyers in handling construction-related disputes in litigation, arbitration and adjudication.
Drafting of contractual letters to employers, sub-contractors, and consultants.
Able to balance legal issues against commercial requirements in any assigned tasks and duties. Advice must be practical while ensuring the Company\'s interests are protected and compliance with laws observed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Laws & called to the Malaysian Bar.
Construction experience
At least 8 years of experience with a reputable law firm
Good command of English and excellent drafting skills.
