\xc2\xb7 Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) Corporate Actions is an asset servicing function mainly providing services to institutional clients and retail clients in a domestic market. As a direct custodian, team is responsible in efficient and timely broadcast of corporate events to clients, processing of instructions, computing entitlements and processing corporate event payment. Common corporate event processed includes but not limited to cash dividend, bonus shares, rights issues, proxy meeting, take over, merger, interest, redemption and conversion to name a few. The Opportunity:

\xc2\xb7 Opportunity to learn and understand the various types of corporate events and its life cycle

\xc2\xb7 Enrolment into Corporate Actions academy which offers comprehensive product training and knowledge testing

\xc2\xb7 Job holder is responsible for day to day processing of corporate events in an efficient, accurate and timely manner

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

\xc2\xb7 Act as the input and release agent for the operations and ensure all allocated events are:

a) processed within the required timeframes

b) all items are processed within required deadlines

c) processing performed as per operational manuals

d) any deviations/issues/concerns/escalations are to be reported immediately to Manager

e) full adherence to team\xe2\x80\x99s control functions and end of day checklists/requirements

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate high level of competency and understanding in processing all activities with high level of accuracy.

\xc2\xb7 To ensure prompt escalation (as per escalation matrix) to the Manager for all matters which may present a potential financial loss or client service concern.

\xc2\xb7 Accountable for maintaining satisfactory audit/regulatory/risk ratings and be consistent with Group and Company policies and standards requirements at all time (inclusive of involvement during the reviews as scheduled by the business).

\xc2\xb7 To demonstrate critical and analytical skills that include the ability to analyses information and generating ideas/solution for decision making based on available references.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct periodic reviews on existing procedures with a focus on delivering efficiency and identification of best practices.

\xc2\xb7 Provide support to team members on operational activities to ensure all aspects of team activities are satisfactorily covered.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes and supports the Management\xe2\x80\x99s decision.

\xc2\xb7 Action oriented: Drives a supportive team environment driven by people centric values.

\xc2\xb7 Change Management: Effectively drive and manage change to achieve business goals. (e.g.: process improvements/ changes in procedures).

\xc2\xb7 Cover for departmental Manager in his/her absence.

\xc2\xb7 Participate in process related discussions and management meetings.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

\xc2\xb7 A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations commensurate with the position.

\xc2\xb7 Acquire a broad understanding of all the Corporate Action processes and market specifications for various markets assigned.

\xc2\xb7 Possess relevant Securities background and knowledge - at least 12 months of Securities experience.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to speak and understand English fluently, writes business letters and reports, and has good conversational / telephone skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to learn quickly, transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data. Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections. Production management skills and ability to initiate process improvements.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent attention to detail.

\xc2\xb7 Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities in building relationships with people at all levels.

\xc2\xb7 Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Able to work and think correctly under pressure.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates supervisory ability.

\xc2\xb7 For internal application, staff must have completed at least 18 months in their current role.

What additional skills will be good to have?

\xc2\xb7 Experience in Securities processing environment. Knowledge in Corporate Actions, Trade Settlement, Cash Payments/FXs in Global Custody or Direct Custody businesses is an added advantage.
