Supervise, monitor and control plant operations in ensuring continuous and uninterrupted power supply and ascertain the smooth running status of all process units/equipment in the entire plant.
Propose, review and implement all plant changes, modification and improvement works with regards to improve and attain optimum plant operation by application of best engineering, operation and maintenance practices benchmarking.
Review department cost through over-time work planning, information data and the budgetary control system and assist Operation Manager manage in establishing and initiating programs to reduce operational cost.
Assist Operation Manager in establishing an efficient work control system that will attain minimum Operation cost for maximum operating efficiency.
Ensure all plant related works are carried out safely, equipment safety checks are carried out by his respective line personnel and units are safe to be operated during normal operations or prior to start-up following maintenance works.
Implement energy schedules and calculate load estimates to determine required load for exporting to TNB Grid under NEDA program.
Act as an Outage Coordinator (Operations) in dealing with other department during Major Outage Work. Reviews outage work requests, conducts or participates in meetings to support scheduling activities and provides technical direction to match operations requirement with maintenance schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
Hold recognized Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or any relevant field with minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in power plant operations, maintenance, technology, system & procedures.
Able to lead, empower and motivate staff to achieve optimum performance.
