G-Class) & AMG product families for MBC Malaysia & Hub SEA II. This responsibility stretches across the entire product lifecycle of each particular model offered in SEA II markets: Product Feasibility & Strategy Product Configuration Local Market Pricing Market Homologation (Support) Product Lifecycle Management (MY Updates) Internal Information (PR/Media/Marketing) & External Information (Product Circular, Dealer Product Council) Product Expert & Support of Training Competitive Intelligence (Product Offering & Pricing) Support Sales, Planning & Ordering, Marketing The overall objective is to ensure that SEA II markets offer the best possible and most suitable MBC product portfolio at any point in time to maximize sales and profit potential in this region. This particular position further takes responsibility of managing the team intern position. This includes bi-annual recruiting, onboarding, leading, training & supervision of the intern. Product Feasibility & Strategy Responsible for observing and evaluating globally available product portfolio in WIPPS Determining potentially suitable products and investigating technical & economic feasibility for SEA II markets Ensuring that product offering is aligned with all SEA II parties and supports Mercedes-Benz and SEA II strategy based on OP & SP planning Defining the offering strategy regarding models & powertrains in SEA II markets In case of CKD evaluation, conducting detailed feasibility assessment including volume planning (to be aligned with Sales planning) & pricing (to be aligned with Controlling) and submission to Region Overseas CKD Market Management for approval process Product Configuration Responsible to define local product configuration, preparing detailed specification list for Malaysian market and supporting for other SEA II markets Creating and arrange management sign-off of Vehicle Specification Confirmation (VSC) Submitting and maintaining CKD product configurations in OPERA documentation system, ensuring that change requests are submitted on time according to process lead-time and in a technically feasible combination Manage proactive distribution and communication of product configuration to all relevant internal parties (MBM, OS) for seamless distribution, marketing & sale of product Local Market Pricing & Malaysia Pricelist/Dealer Margin Steering Manage processual retrieval of all pricing relevant information from Market Management Region Overseas (Pricing Guideline, Pricing Template, MBC Base & TOUR Price List) Creating pricing template for products due for pricing approval (or review), ensuring fulfillment of all pricing relevant key performance indicators, need to take care pricing is done technically correct to MBC pricing methodology, defining a price positioning that fulfills all stakeholders\' goals (price competitiveness, model profitability, volume optimization) best possible to maximize market success of product - responsibility taken over for all SEA II markets Submitting prepared pricing proposal for approval process with management in SEA II and Region Overseas Preparing dealer margin and price list for Malaysia market launch Market Homologation (Support) Supporting market homologation responsible if and where needed with product expertise, documents and vehicle configuration particularly for Malaysian market (support for other SEA II markets if need arises) Product Lifecycle Management (MY Updates) Actively manage attractiveness and market adequacy of product and price positioning over entire product lifecycle from market launch over facelift until phase out Gathering all relevant information regarding global product changes during product lifecycle upfront and evaluate impact to local configuration. Based on nature and influence of changes on local product offering, develop and decide about actions for product configuration changes Ensuring to inform all relevant parties and in particular dealers about upcoming product offering changes before they enter the market Internal & External Product Information Solely ensure that internal communication channels (PR/Media/Marketing) are sufficiently informed about product configuration and product changes at all times Providing quality check for media (pictures/videos), equipment lists, product information & statements used in PR/Media/Marketing communication are true to the actual products offered in Malaysia Communicate all relevant product features, configuration, MY changes or other product offering influencing factors to dealers in a regular and standardized manner (Product Newsletter/Circular, Dealer Product Council) Provide support and product expertise to MBM/SEA II training department, MBC Customer Services SEA II and other internal parties in cases alignment is required or beneficial for company Competitive Intelligence (Product Offering & Pricing) Monitor market activities of competitor models (market introductions, portfolio offering, product specifications, pricing) Comparing competitor product offering with Mercedes-Benz products in Malaysia and solely derive need for changes in product & pricing strategy Use market expertise and competitive intelligence and thereby ensure to optimize product & price positioning of Mercedes-Benz products in Malaysia Support Sales, Planning, Ordering & Distribution Supporting all sales planning related processes such as Kufri Planning (short-term), Daimler Business Plan (DBP = Operative Planning), Strategic Planning as well as all national and regional strategies with all relevant and required product information Responsible to define an Indent Order option portfolio for CBU products and prepare options information, pricing and data upload & maintenance into enhanced car configurator in OneWeb website & Sales Touch Support Regional Sales Managers with Indent Order quotations if and when dealers address an acceptable customer individual order inquiry; in such cases, responsible to calculate the offering price for this individual order quotation Intern Management Co-responsible for bi-annual recruiting of one intern for team in collaboration with HR Manage a smooth onboarding process for IT, administration and business-related processes In charge of responsibly leading the intern and including him or her in daily work routine Organize business-relevant training & care for supervision of the intern Create together with the manager and HR a qualified internship certificate at the end of the turn Tertiary education with discipline in Automotive Business/Management, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or its equivalent. Proficiency in English language both written/spoken Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience in automotive industry. Negotiation strength, strategy development, operational excellence, relationship and networking in automotive business community. Long-standing experience in product management, product/sales planning, sales/market management, technical/ administrative after-sales or equivalent business experience. Excellent understanding in automotive affairs (technical & business). Profound knowledge about Southeast region and its customer requirements and market environment (competition as well as economics/politics). Particularly passionate interest in automobiles and our products/brand. Possess excellent understanding in product, pricing and technical knowledge.
