Position : Assistant Manager - Protech & Internal IT
Salary : Up to RM 8,000

Working Days / Time : 8.30am - 5.30pm / Mon - Fri
Responsibility
Support and oversee the day-to-day operations of ICT infrastructure, Managed Services, and Internal IT environments to ensure system availability, stability, and optimal performance.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering ICT and Managed Services projects, ensuring adherence to defined scope, timelines, budgets, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Supervise and guide Protech and Internal IT teams by assigning tasks, monitoring workloads, and fostering effective teamwork to achieve service delivery objectives.
Manage the provisioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Managed Services, including cloud platforms, networks, cybersecurity solutions, and IT support services.
Serve as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, understanding their business needs, providing status updates, and ensuring service expectations are met.
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for escalated infrastructure, network, security, and application issues, collaborating with vendors and internal teams as needed.
Monitor service performance metrics and prepare regular reports on system health, incident management, problem resolution, and SLA compliance.
Identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities across ICT, Managed Services, and Internal IT operations, proposing and implementing process and technology enhancements.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, processes, project plans, and service records to support operational continuity and compliance.
Ensure all ICT, Managed Services, and Internal IT activities comply with security, regulatory, and governance standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Assist with resource planning, capacity management, and budgeting to support current operations and future growth.
Support staff onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development to maintain a knowledgeable and capable technical team.
Requirement
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, including servers, networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
Hands-on experience with Managed Services tools and practices, such as remote monitoring, IT service management (ITSM) platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Working knowledge of service delivery and governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or similar standards.
Proven experience supporting or supervising technical teams in an IT operations or managed services environment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service quality and operational discipline.
