Our opportunity for you:

Job Title : Assistant Manager

Location : Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

Department: Regional Finance (PT Team)

Key responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Cash Management * Operate as part of Finance SSC
  • Responsible to oversee Procure-to-Pay (P2P) end-to-end process
  • Manage and supervise P2P team from invoices processing and staff claims to payments activities and ensure the daily BAU tasks are appropriately prioritized as per SLA.
  • Manages internal and external stakeholders\' expectation and establishes strong collaborations with internal team and business partners.
  • Ensure control and compliance in the process and drive the team in meeting audit requirements and timelines
  • Oversees cash management activities to ensure cash forecast and funding is meeting the group requirements
  • Ensure meeting deliverables as stated in Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Project Management * Work with transformation team on ERP system migration
  • Active involvement in transformation meeting, discussion to ensure smooth migration and success implementation of EPR system
  • Act as key user on P2P process by performing UAT, data validation and carries out training to end users.
  • Work closely with Senior Management team in standardized P2P processes and controls
People and Process Improvement Initiative * Leading the P2P team with proper direction and foster team engagement and motivation
  • Establish continuous learning and training platform amongst the team as skillset development in supporting business requirements
  • Encourage participation from P2P team in process gaps analysis and drive to close the gap and lean the process
  • Work with Special Project team in process improvement initiative and contribution towards preparation and standardisation of SOP and Working Instruction
Attributes/ Technical Skills:
  • Strong accounting knowledge of Accounts Payable functions, including cash management
  • Team player with good people and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables within timelines
  • Result-oriented and detail-minded person
  • Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, committed, good interpersonal skills, with a strong desire for growth and career progression
Relevant Experience & Skills:
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experiences in P2P and with SAP knowledge
  • Experience working in a SSC environment with at least 3 years of experience in leadership level
  • Strong leadership in managing a team and engaging and developing staffs
  • Good communication skills to all levels from management team to junior team members
  • Positive attitude and mindset in driving improvement initiatives and system enhancements
  • Manage to take up challenges and work with uncertainties
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Educational Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification
Computer Skills:
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Application
  • Experience in SAP ECC or SAP HANA system
Languages:
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
