• Develop and propose regional banking subsidiaries\xe2\x80\x99 / branches\xe2\x80\x99 risk appetite statements and thresholds.
• Execute by cascading risk threshold down to respective subsidiaries / branches, and closely monitor to ensure that each subsidiary / branch complies with their respective risk tolerances.
• Active engagement with risk personnel of regional banking subsidiaries / branches and ensure that risks are promptly escalated with sufficient details to the Head Office. Coordinate the escalation of issues to the relevant stakeholders, and if applicable, monitor to ensure that it is appropriately resolved in a timely manner.
• In-depth understanding on what a robust risk governance framework entails, and be able to tailor such a framework to different countries based on its local regulations, which operates in different sizes and complexity.
• Evaluate the nuances and regulatory requirements of different countries, and tailor applications of policies and practices to each regional subsidiary / branch.
• Basic understanding on principles of various risk disciplines including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, IT risk, liquidity risk and be able to apply such concepts in practice.
• Basic understanding on risks that may arise from evolving conditions in the economy and markets of HLBB and its regional banking subsidiaries / branches.
• Review, analyze and monitor risk trends and positions of respective regional subsidiaries / branches and develop independent insights from the analytics performed to be highlighted to Management.
• Prepare insightful and accurate risk reports to Management and Board Committees.
