Job SummaryTransport and Delivery is responsible for managing the daily transport and delivery operations. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing logistics staff, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager to implement strategies and improve operational processes.Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily transport and delivery activities.
  • Ensure that all deliveries are made on time , compliance and quality control
  • Operations excellence and data analysis
Team Management:
  • Supervise and support the transport and delivery team.
  • Shipments monitoring for delivery status update and POD on time submission
  • Handle staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
  • Optimize routing and scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Monitor transport costs and implement measures to reduce expenses.
Customer Service:
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing delivery issues promptly.
  • Work with the customer service team to resolve any complaints or problems.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with customers regarding delivery schedules and changes.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols within the transport and delivery operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on transport and delivery performance.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions based on analysis to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Admin/Operations or equivalent
  • At least 5 years working experience in similar role
  • Having good leadership & communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic customer service
  • Knowledge in warehousing and Distribution will be an advantage
