Job Description

ou will play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical water infrastructure projects that serve the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently handle typical types and sizes of projects related to storm water drainage, detention pond, flood mitigation, water resources and coastal protection works. Lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking medium sized multi-disciplinary projects. Perform all necessary duties from the preliminary/ conceptual design stage until project completion.

1. Design and Drawing Preparation

Prepare feasibility study, design brief. Prepare sketch drawings with sufficient details to enable draftsperson to produce satisfactory detailed drawings as required for tender, construction or other purposes; Undertake detailed design and prepare specifications, bill of quantities and schedules Prepare taking off quantities and bill of quantities Prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant codes and standards

2. Tender Document and Tender Evaluation

Prepare Tender Document comprising specifications, bill of quantities and schedules etc Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender

3. Contract Administration

Assist Client in the selection of appropriate method of contract procurement Contract administration including review and comment on the contractor's submission of method statements, materials, inspection, testing procedures and test results. Prepare Progress Payment Certificates Address Variations and resolve contractual disputes with guidance by superior

4. Business Development

Build and maintain good relationship with Client Prepare consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal Carry out sales and marketing to secure project

5. Management and Administration

Assisting in management and administration functions within division as directed Assisting in management and administration activities within company as directed Assist in improving efficiency of Division

6. Training and Self-Development

Review Subordinates' and peers' output and provide guidance to Subordinates Act as mentor to Subordinates Conduct on-the-job training for subordinates Develop capabilities in specialist/niche field of consultancy services undertaken by Division as directed

7. Others

Prepare cost estimates Attend meetings and coordinate with all other internal and external design team members Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). Registered with BEM as a Professional Engineer. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong leadership skill to lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking medium sized multi-disciplinary projects. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines. Good inter-personal skills and good team player.

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
