Responsible for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all engineering activities and for preparing and implementing maintenance programmed, cost reduction, work simplification, methods and techniques, improvement programmed and other projects.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Directs, co-ordinates and participates in all activities of engineering personnel such as: - installing, maintaining, repairing and equipment and related system
- receiving, storing, issuing and controlling engineering materials and supply
- maintaining, installing or repairing M&E equipment and building works, etc
2) Develops and implements cost reduction work simplification methods and techniques and improvement programmes.
3) Develops and sees to the implementation of preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all equipment, machinery and other facilities.
4) Prepares and/or evaluates designs and specifications for all engineering personnel; supervises the installation and construction of all engineering work; submit periodic reports on project status operating performance to superior.
5) Controls and sees to adequacy of all engineering supplies.
6) Evaluates all engineering contracts and bids, submits recommendation to superior for approval.
7) Ensure that all engineering installations, construction and operations comply with building codes and government rules and regulations, acts as liaison with government agencies concerned.
8) Develops and implements safety procedures, and recommends necessary changes.
9) Prepares and/or approves requisitions, purchase orders, etc. pertaining to maintenance.
10) Develops policies and procedures to govern and control activities of engineering.
11) Assumes responsibility for extinguishing of fires and co-ordination of rescue.
12) To handle engineering projects as and when delegated.
13) Monitoring monthly utility consumption and take relevant actions.
14) To perform Manager On Duty (MOD) on weekdays and weekends.
Requirements
Proven experience in engineering or maintenance management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and energy management practices.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
