The jobholder is to assist the overall management of Premier Proposition for Malaysia. This includes the rolling out any new products and service propositions and ensuring a consistent standard of service delivery for Premier customers as per the group's directives. He/She will also be required to work closely with the relevant Distribution (Sales & Services) and Marketing team to ensure that Premier customers' experience is at its highest quality at all times. This is to be carried through via effective communication and delivery of the product proposition as per the business directive and local priorities set Senior Proposition Manager

Principal Responsibilities:

• To jointly Lead and implement Premier business policies and strategies to contribute to the Bank's profitability in accordance with the AOP/FRP by working closely with Premier Proposition Manager.
• To jointly review the Business Strategy and Customer Segment Profitability by developing customer profitability measures and monitoring the performance of the Premier income segment and to develop new strategies to improve performance.
• To work closely with Premier Proposition Manager to ensure consistency in the Premier Global Proposition branding and to develop the image of HSBC Premier as preferred mass affluent segment banking in the market.
• To work closely with Premier Proposition Manager by acting as a center of excellence for all queries. By interfacing with all relevant departments / ASP / GHQ to accord support and guidance relating to the Premier Proposition, product features and policies.
• By reviewing and adhering to the Premier global service standards. By working with all relevant departments to ensure consistency of the Premier service delivery within the service promise made at the group level. By working with Distribution, Marketing and Property to ensure consistency in the branding and image of Premier at every customer touch point.
• Leads and is responsible for the day to day execution of Premier business strategies.
• Maintains teamwork between various stakeholders while ensuring due observance to the HSBC Internal Control Standards.
• Improve employee engagement by communicating results with the team as a leader, create an action plan in consultation with the team for implementation, in view to improve our GPS score.
• Ensure awareness of compliance / audit requirements and implementation of Group Compliance policies.
• Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
• Adhere to all compliance requirements by ensuring full compliance to internal requirements as per FIM/BIM and external regulations/policies issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Association of Banks Malaysia (ABM) and other relevant authorities.

• A university degree in any discipline.
• At least 5 - 8 years of product management and/or marketing experience, preferably in managing emerging mass affluent portfolios
• Evidence of strong analytical skills and commercial acumen in studying market / consumer trends, identifying opportunities, formulating proposition strategies and driving execution.
• Experience in managing projects (e.g. new product development or enhancement of existing products, new campaign launch) with tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills through experience in managing cross Functional Teams;
• Strong in both written and verbal communication;
• Good understanding of RBWM business and operations.
