Identify and source construction materials, machinery, tools, and equipment required for projects.
Ensure materials meet project specifications and standards (e.g., CIDB, SIRIM).
Vendor and Subcontractor Management
Evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers, subcontractors, and fabricators.
Maintain and update the approved vendor list (AVL).
Price Negotiation
Negotiate terms and costs with vendors to achieve the best value without compromising quality.
Secure long-term supply agreements when applicable.
Contract & PO Management
Prepare purchase orders (POs), subcontract agreements, and delivery schedules.
Monitor contract compliance, variations, and delivery timelines.
Delivery Coordination
Coordinate timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Project Coordination
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and QS teams to plan procurement schedules based on work progress.
Provide early alerts on critical or long lead-time items.
Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
Track procurement spend against project budgets.
Recommend cost-saving alternatives (e.g., material substitutions).
Document Control & Compliance
Maintain proper procurement documentation (e.g., POs, invoices, delivery orders).
Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, CIDB, and other relevant standards.
Supplier Evaluation & Performance Review
Conduct supplier performance evaluations post-project.
Ensure non-performing vendors are flagged or delisted.
Job Requirement:-
Minimum SPM, Diploma in Logistic/ Supply Chain or above that related field.
Preferably min 2 years of working experience in a construction or industrial setting.
Preferably min 2 years of working as Procurement/ purchasing or related field.
