highly motivated Assistant Production Manager

to join a dynamic team in a continuous and batch-based chemical manufacturing environment.

Position Highlights:

Workforce Size (Production Department): 20-30 staff Reporting To: Production Manager / Head of Facility Career Progression: Production Manager / Head of Facility

Requirements:

Degree holder, preferably in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in continuous or batch chemical process manufacturing (e.g. refinery/distillation - edible, petroleum, or chemical industries). Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Mature, analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken). Possession of CePIETSO-BP certification is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure production meets the required quality and quantity standards. Maintain proper record keeping and sampling for quality analysis. Liaise with subordinates to resolve operational issues. Monitor and analyze data for process improvement. Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures to minimize risks. Represent the Production Department in cross-functional discussions and troubleshooting. Oversee and approve work within the plant to minimize downtime. Prepare incident reports involving personnel, equipment, or production loss within 24 hours. Ensure environmental emissions are within DOE regulations. Plan and manage shift manpower for smooth operations. Handle emergency shutdowns and breakdowns effectively. Oversee wastewater treatment operations. Ensure compliance with all legal permits and licenses. Adhere strictly to HSSE regulations.
