We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production management, with expertise in lean manufacturing principles and supply chain management. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality production standards.
Duties
Manage daily production activities to ensure efficient operations and adherence to production schedules.
Implement and maintain production planning processes using Mercury System.
Oversee quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain analytics and improve overall supply chain performance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process improvement, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing practices.
Provide leadership and training to the production team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Monitor plant management activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational guidelines.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of internal Mercury systems
Demonstrated ability in operations management with a focus on lean manufacturing methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics and production planning.
Knowledge of quality control processes and standards related to manufacturing operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving operational goals.
Proficient mechanical knowledge to support equipment maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.
