Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
Job Scope:
Assist in preparing cost estimates for rebar supply, cutting, bending, and installation in precast elements.
Track material usage against budgeted quantities to prevent wastage.
Support senior QS in preparing tender documents and bills of quantities (BQ) specific to rebar works.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for rebar requirements from precast shop drawings.
Maintain records of rebar consumption, wastage, and returns.
Prepare interim valuations and progress claims related to reinforcement works.
Support preparation of monthly cost reports and reconciliation of rebar usage.
Liaise with precast engineers and production supervisors to confirm rebar readiness before casting.
Support site inspections to verify rebar placement and alignment in molds.
Provide cost and quantity feedback to improve production efficiency?
