Assist supervising and managing reservation agents in their daily duties and maintaining a high standard of customer service within reservations department
Help in pricing and space decisions for rooms whilst maximizing occupancy/room rate/revenue at all times, implementing an effective rate structure
Maintaining a consistently high standard of operation customer service within the group and individual reservations departments, has a direct line of authority over all reservations sales agents within the hotel and a liaison role with Sales, F & B, and all other departments
Main responsibilities
Professional techniques / Production
Ensure availability is reviewed as per required standards and all restrictions are recorded.
Handles and supervises the taking of reservations with a positive sales attitude and operate systems in accordance with company standards.
Ensures that reservations are taken according to management decisions of selling strategies.
Manage group blocks to ensure accuracy of business on the books.
Ensure all activities and traces are followed up on in a timely manner and results of such recorded.
Conduct quality control checks on all revenue management systems to ensure data accuracy.
Ensure the department operates with a sales attitude and all personnel are aware of Sales opportunities within the hotel that will assist with the maximization of revenue.
Ensures that reservations agents are recording all turn away
Ensure to verify daily for no show, shorten stay and cancellation
Ensure to verify commission in FastCom / Pegasus.
To prepare weekly Day Marker report due every Friday for GM / DOSD.
To review with DOSD allotment given to wholesalers and OLTAs.
Ensures that all daily and monthly reports are being filed.
Assists in ensuring that all traces are being followed up in a timely manner and results are recorded.
Ensures that reservations agents perform duties according to company standards and checklists are being used.
Performance duties with guideline and checklist provided.
Compile departmental work schedules for liaison with Human Resources Department.
Ensures that duplicate profiles are being checked monthly.
Attends departmental communication meetings and training.
Develop the reservations and group & tour teams to maximize revenue on every call/ enquiry.
Team management and cross-departmental responsibilities
Distribute workload to reservation agents.
To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by higher management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
