The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in achieving revenue targets by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves assisting in the planning and execution of sales strategies, preparing reports, coordinating sales activities and representing the company in a professional manner to enhance brand image and increase market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities through various sales channels.
Support in managing existing client accounts and maintaining strong relationships to ensure repeat business.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations to potential clients.
Assist in coordinating site inspections, client meetings and familiarization trips.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer preferences to adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Operations teams to ensure successful event execution and guest satisfaction.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and performance analysis for management review.
Represent the company at trade shows, networking events and promotional activities as required.
Handle client inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
Support the Sales Manager in mentoring and guiding junior sales staff.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) systems.
Goal oriented, self motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
