The Assistant Sales Manager role plays a pivotal role in driving sales, ensuring long-term profitability, and optimizing distribution channels in the North Malaysia Region, which includes Kedah & Perak. What You will be doing: Manage distributor relationships for sustained business growth Build and cultivate strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with our distributors that include regular communication, close collaboration, providing support and resources, and addressing any concerns or issues they may encounter Provide training, guidance, and support to our distributors to enhance their sales capabilities and product knowledge Implement sales strategies across different timeframes Plan objectives for sales performance in the short-term, medium-term, and long-term Develop and implement strategies for each timeframe to achieve the set objectives Ensure that the strategies are executed effectively and efficiently to achieve optimal results Drive growth in terms of both sales revenue and distribution channels Lead, develop, and mentor Sales Executives or Sales Representatives Provide guidance and direction to the Sales Executives or Sales Representatives reporting to you Ensure that the strategies are executed effectively and efficiently to achieve optimal results Drive growth in terms of both sales revenue and distribution channels Ensure a healthy inventory level focusing on sell-out and market returns control Monitor and manage the inventory levels placed in the distributors\' area by analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and coordinating promptly with distributors Implement sales strategies or promotions to drive sell-through and reduce potential excess inventory stocks Implement measures to control and minimize market returns Analyze sales data and performance metrics by identifying trends, optimizing inventory levels, and using insights gathered to make informed decisions Other duties as assigned What We are looking for: Minimum a Diploma in Business Administration or its equivalent At least 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably from the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment Willing to travel within North Malaysia (Including Kedah & Perak) Effective communication and collaborative skills to work seamlessly with various stakeholders Positive outlook and entrepreneurship mindset Good planning and organizational skills Ability to work independently and possess a strong aptitude for learning new skills quickly Competent in Microsoft Office applications Able to start work immediately or at a short notice would be favorable Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a Sales Manager position.
