Key Responsibilities



1. Daily Site Supervision



Assist the Site Agent in supervising daily construction activities. Monitor subcontractor progress to ensure works meet schedule and specifications. Verify efficient use of manpower, machinery, and materials.

2. Site Coordination



Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve site issues. Ensure construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions are properly implemented. Follow up on compliance with site instructions.

3. Monitoring & Quality Control



Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with JKR standards, specifications, and quality requirements. Assist in preparing Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely rectification of defects or non-conformance. Monitor proper handling and storage of materials on site.

4. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain a site diary/log book covering daily activities, weather, manpower, and resources. Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports to the Site Agent or Project Manager. Update and track material delivery and usage records.

5. Safety & Housekeeping



Monitor compliance with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near-misses to the Safety Supervisor and Site Agent. Assist in enforcing proper access control, safety signage, and site cleanliness.

6. Drawing & Technical Review



Support the review of shop drawings and method statements before implementation. Ensure construction teams fully understand drawings and technical instructions.

7. Material Tracking



Monitor delivery, quantity, and utilization of construction materials. Liaise with storekeeper and procurement team to avoid shortages or delays.

8. Inspection & Handover



Assist in preparing for consultant inspections and official site visits. Help compile site documents, checklists, and as-built records for project handover.

Minimum Requirements



Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent. 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction, preferably in government/JKR projects. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules. Willing to work full-time at site (Pulau Sayak, Kedah) with minimal supervision. Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
