Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of retail assistants to deliver outstanding customer service.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure team members meet or exceed sales targets.
Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourage teamwork and individual growth.
2. Sales and Business Development
Set sales goals and develop strategies to achieve targets, including maximizing store profitability.
Monitor sales performance and analyze sell through.
Identify best seller and low performing merchandise and implement corrective actions.
Plan and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase customer engagement.
3. Customer Service
Ensure customers receive exceptional service by maintaining a knowledgeable and friendly sales team.
Handle escalated customer concerns or complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Train staff on product knowledge and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
4. Inventory Management
Oversee inventory control processes, including daily stock count, monthly stock take, replenishment, visual merchandising and monitoring stock levels.
Collaborate with buying teams to ensure appropriate stock assortment based on customer demand and trends.
Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock management.
5. Store Operations
Maintain store standards for cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation to create an attractive shopping environment.
Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
Monitor and manage store expenses, including labor costs, supplies, and maintenance.
Maintain store in accordance with the visual merchandising standards or guidelines.
6. Reporting and Analysis
Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
Provide feedback and recommendations to senior management on sales trends, customer preferences, and market competition.
7. Staff Management
Prepare team monthly schedule, including assisting to schedule promoters to stores on a need basis.
Lead and guide the team to improve their performance, give appropriate support to meet company requirements.
Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of store team members.
Qualifications Requirement
Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the shoe and fashion retail industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of inventory management practices and visual merchandising techniques.
Familiarity with retail operations, including cash handling, POS systems, and store opening/closing procedures.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
