Job Description

We are an established Group listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Berhad with diversified businesses in Manufacturing, Properties, Plantations and Hotels. We are looking for suitable and qualified candidate to fill in the following vacancy:In-house Tax DepartmentAssistant Tax ManagerResponsibilities:

• To manage the submission of Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing and other statutory returns to tax authorities.
• Oversee the tax compliance process and adapt to challenges in the process
• To liaise with tax authorities in connection with tax enquiries, appeals, refunds and others.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities for the Group
• To monitor training programs and provide tax trainings/ updates to staff and finance teams
• To assume other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the Head of Department

Qualification & Experience:

• Accounting Degree or equivalent a minimum of between 3 - 5 years of tax experience ideally with a mix of Big 4 companies with commercial tax experience with an established MNC
• Professional qualification is an added advantage (CTIM/MIA/ACCA/CPA etc)
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysia\'s corporate tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing regulations, employer\xe2\x80\x99s tax obligations with a thorough understanding of accounting principles, MFRS and IFRS
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Proficient in using Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Hands-on personality, team player, proactive, resourceful and continuously seek for improvements with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
