Job Purpose
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), IT Vendor Management is responsible for managing the bank's IT vendors and ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and value delivery. This role plays a key part in governance, contract negotiation, and end-to-end vendor lifecycle management, ensuring alignment between vendor capabilities and the bank's technology and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Strategy and Relationship Management
Develop and implement vendor management strategies aligned with IT and business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.
Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor-related issues and performance concerns.
Contract Negotiation and Management
Lead and oversee contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
Review and manage contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal procurement policies.
Governance and Performance Monitoring
Establish and maintain vendor governance frameworks, including periodic performance reviews and audits.
Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance service delivery through vendor collaboration.
Risk and Compliance
Identify and manage risks related to third-party engagements.
Ensure vendors comply with the bank's security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams on vendor-related matters.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal teams including IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance to align vendor strategies.
Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior management on vendor performance and value realization.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT vendor management or a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Strong experience in contract negotiation, vendor governance, and performance management.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
