Fee Billing team currently manages fee billing related tasks for raising and collection of fees for all services and product offerings in Securities Services; GC, DCC, FA, GTFS and BOSS, across 25 countries where Securities Services operates.

The Opportunity:

Produces invoices within the agreed timelines and to the accuracy agreed and forward the same to our customers for payment. Follow up for the charges payable, recover them, apply the received funds to the respective ledgers and reconcile the outstanding. The invoices are reviewed and analyzed for issues or errors before they are sent out to prevent customer dissatisfaction or complaints. The Fee letters agreed with the customers are reviewed on the system annually for accuracy of data capture.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Managing teams across multiple time zones
  • Providing operational leadership to the team and managers
  • Active contributor towards improving the efficiency of the overall team
  • Improve operational efficiency on year to year basis
  • Ensure service delivery quality and timeliness meet/exceed agreed threshold
  • Support Global Operating Model/Workflow/Platform Change initiatives
  • Customer and stakeholders - large global institutional clients to include pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, international central securities depositories
  • Supporting single product line, multiple region, multiple jurisdiction
  • Key stake holders include regional product teams and business partners and external customers
  • Engage with the stakeholders to keep abreast of changing regulatory / product and client environment
  • Cascade strategic direction of the business and ensure team is aware of the changing expectations and challenges
  • Ensure understanding of the various requirement for various jurisdictions and thereby end client
  • Lead and set standards for best in class service quality
  • Develop culture of meritocracy, high performance standards and high achievement
  • Manage succession planning for key resources.
  • Create highly engaged teams with strong alignment to the business.
  • Ensure adequate management capacity and processing capacity is in place at all times
  • Manage operational losses on year-on-year basis and contain within agreed risk limits.
  • Establish and maintain effective BCP for respective span
  • Growth: Migration and transformation activity to achieve load balancing and de-risking.
Requirements

What additional skills will be good to have?
  • Qualifications - degree level or equivalent qualification an essential.
  • Extensive working experience (indicative 10+ years) in the financial services industry, to include:
  • Knowledge of clients and products across range of securities services
  • Stakeholder management with exposure to business partners across multiple geographical locations
  • People management with exposure to remuneration, performance management, team building and staff development.
  • Risk and control management in an operations environment
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively in English, both oral and written
  • Multi-cultural background or experience, ability to work across broad range of cultures in support of HSBC Group values and objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with change management experience
