About the role
To succeed in the Warehouse Inventory Lead role, you will need to have a strong background of managing inventory aspects. You will review and monitor inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures. You will also ensure all stock variances being analyzed and studied to get the root cause of the variances. Besides that, includes to prepare corrective and preventive measure on any variances found during daily cycle counts and monthly stock counts to avoid reoccurrences of similar mistake.
Key responsibilities
Review and monitor inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
Responsible for daily cycle count and annual stock counting process and leading the investigation to minimize variances and come up with an improvement plan.
Responsible for timely inventory updates, ensuring proper implementation of FEFO and ensuring the accuracy of inventory
Analyse & review monthly stock reports such as stock turnover, write off, returned, adjustment and variance report besides preparing any other ad-hoc reports as and when required by Management.
Monitor & review stock holding levels to ensure sufficient warehouse space and contingency plan if any additional space required
To work very closely with Supply Chain on ageing product for further action in order to minimize stock deterioration
To initiate, to review and to implement any procedures pertaining to inventory management and control for effective operations
To monitor and control product damage occurrence and to ensure it is updated into SAP for stock accuracy.
Responsible for inbound container planning from port to warehouse
Key personnel for new external warehouse system set up
Act as a company focal point for 3PL activities, plan, communicate and coordinate for day to day operations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Degree/Diploma in Business Management, Statistics, Supply Chain or related field of study\\
Minimum 8 years of experience in leading inventory management, system and process
Strong working experience as a super user in the areas of SAP WM, IM
Must have advance EXCEL skill
Excellent influencing and follow-up skills and demonstrates strong agility
Highly organised, strong attention to detail and analytical in problem solving
Knowledge of logistics processes is a requirement
Has a positive approach, self-motivated, a team player and possess high level of integrity
