Job Location: Senai, Johor, Malaysia Summary: This position is to lead the Packaging Structure Development team (in AEMEA Packaging Development Dept) to execute & complete packaging development work for innovation projects & revamp projects. This includes tasks listed below.

• Managing the packaging development timeline for each given projects.
• Providing guidance and leading the Packaging Structure Development team.
• Develop new packaging design based on the agreed packaging concept.
• Develop packaging die lines for new packaging items.
• Create and update packaging material spec in PDM system.
• Develop trial protocol for new project. Leading and taking parts in Packaging related trial. Troubleshooting problems related to packaging during line trials/commercial production.
• Generate ideas for CI saving purpose & leading CI saving project.
• Supporting Procurement team on CI saving project/new vendor development

Responsibilities:

• Generate and conceptualize Packaging development ideas for new projects including coordinating packaging related trial.
• Managing the packaging development timeline and making sure that the projects are on track till completion.
• Create and updating packaging material spec in PLM system.
• Taking part in CI saving project including coordinating packaging related trial

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

• Solid understanding of different types of packaging substrates
• Good understanding packaging evaluation test methods including transportation test.
• Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, 3D CAD & 2D CAD software will be added advantage.
• Experience in printing industry will be added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must at least possess Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Degree in related field.
• Minimum 8 years Packaging development work in related industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Packaging related work \xe2\x80\x93 Rigid,flexibles, metal, paperboard/box
