The Role Responsibilities Job Role Assist the Director, CEO Office Malaysia (DCO) to effectively manage Country business objectives and the governance role of the franchise. Serve as liaison with CMT / EXCO and other stakeholders to effectively manage priorities and facilitate outcomes. Provide business planning, coordination, and project management support for the DCO therefore enabling focus on operational and strategic business issues. Manage assigned initiatives on behalf of the DCO behalf. Oversee or act as committee secretary for selected governance committees. Ensure CEO Office preparedness for engagements and meetings. Strategy and Business Customer and Franchise Management - Support CEO Office in raising of the Bank\'s profile with all key stakeholders such as customers, regulators, key contacts in the local community, members of staff, and Group leadership. Assist the DCO in driving collaboration across Singapore and the network. Support DCO in raising of the Bank\'s profile with all key stakeholders (customers, regulators, political contacts, staff, Group leadership) - relationship building with key contacts, develop meeting and networking agenda, coordinate follow up. Assist in the alignment and promotion of strategic agenda, which involve understanding the Bank\'s strategic intent covering customers, our people, communities, investors and regulators. Coordinate and oversee the yearly strategy presentation to the Board and Regulators to ensure consistency and alignment of plans between segments. Coordinate and oversee strategy sharing session with MCLT. Drive delivery of the country Collective Agenda and the country plan, overall budget, financial and other performance targets. Assist in special event coordination where CEO participates. Facilitate an integrated One Bank approach across the business and support functions such as One Bank Forum, Eco-system forums, etc. Promote and implement the Group\'s strategic stand on - Accelerating Zero, Lifting Participation and Resetting Globalisation. Coordinate with Champions of Chambers to deliver the relevant corridors strategy and build NTB for the franchise. Monitor and track Country Scorecard. Processes Provide daily support to the DCO in terms of internal and external correspondence, preparedness for engagements and timely deliverables. Assist in prioritization CEO\'s schedule to ensure appropriate time allocation. Monitor CEO Office\'s incoming correspondence to ensure prompt handling of all items. Manage follow up and execute actions as appropriate. Manage CEO Office\'s daily emails to ensure timely and appropriate responses. Seek DCO\'s input where appropriate or delegate to others for resolution. Track important internal and external items to conclusion. Review and prioritize CEO Office activities for each day. Ensure an appropriate level of preparedness for each engagement and prioritize his deliverables. Independently seek resolution to every day management issues requiring CEO Office\'s attention where possible. Assist the DCO in prioritizing CEO\'s schedule to ensure appropriate time allocation for focus on deliverables, stakeholder management and profile. Assist DCO to utilize the CEO Office\'s Budget for appropriate expenses and track the Budget over the course of the year. Manage and support agenda for high profile internal visitors to the country as required. Manage agenda for high profile internal visitors to country (MT members, Independent Non-Executive Directors) - drive their engagement, schedule setting, briefings preparation, logistics, follow up on resulting action items. Ensure results of visits are communicated as appropriate (newsletters, etc). Oversee project work on behalf of the DCO as appropriate e.g. strategic taskforces, etc. Assist DCO to drive CMT / EXCO involvement in sustainability work (community engagement, etc). Serve as Crisis Management administrator, and BCP coordinator for CEO\'s office. Ensure look and feel of CEO\'s office space is functional and appropriate for proper representation and receiving high profile visitors. People and Talent Support the CEO Office in achieving the People and Talent objectives such as accelerating next generation of leaders, attracting talent, CMT / EXCO effectiveness and embedding the Code of Conduct. Assist the DCO in developing and embedding a high performance culture throughout the country by embracing management processes and activities with a goal of creating an environment of performance excellence. Support the CEO Office in the objective of strengthening Diversity and Inclusion initiative. Work with CEO\'s Personal Assistant to manage workload and engagement, oversee adherence to company policies and general representation of CEO\'s office to stakeholders. Governance Stay abreast of governance priorities and issues in the country and the Group. Be familiar with Group policies and processes directly affecting the CEO\'s office to ensure compliance. Support DCO to drive agenda for CMT / EXCO meetings and other strategy meetings. Track follow-up actions to completion. Stay abreast of developments in Group policies and processes directly affecting CEO\'s office to ensure compliance. Support DCO on implementation of new processes where appropriate. Where appropriate, to act as a point for communication between CEO Office, EXCO and all other stakeholders to assist in smooth handling of day-to-day management of country. Ensure the CEO and the office are sufficiently prepared for all governance related forums: EXCO, ALCO, CFCRC, ERC meetings etc. Oversee all forums\' documentation and flag issues for CEO and HCO\'s attention and follow up on progress as appropriate. Assist the DCO in implementing sound controls and consistent governance operating model and processes across Malaysia to ensure adherence to the global standard governance procedures within the Bank, as well as adherence to local regulatory requirements. Serve as a Secretariat for EXCO and ensure the effectiveness of the EXCO (including meeting materials). Coordinate with Businesses / Functions in managing Country Conduct Plan and track for closure. Work with Compliance in the annual Conduct Risk Assessment. Ensure Operational Resilience framework is strictly adhered to for the department and country. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Assist the DCO to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients Effective Financial Markets Financial Crime Compliance The Right Environment. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Ensure adherence to all the local regulations (i.e., Bank Negara Malaysia), guidelines and policies. Key Stakeholders Internal - Country Management Team (CMT) and their teams External - Regulators, Government Agencies, Chambers and Industry Association Other Responsibilities Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in CEO office. Oversee assigned initiatives and projects on behalf of the DCO. Coordinate and support business engagements or ad-hoc requirements with other teams / partners in the Bank and external parties. Our Ideal Candidate Bachelor\'s degree in any field. Overall 5 years of experience in providing business planning, coordination, and project management support for enabling focus on operational and strategic business issues. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Clear and concise communication of concepts and ideas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
