We are on the lookout for an Associate Content Editor/Content Editor to become a pivotal part of our growing team in Penang, Malaysia, focused on the critical mission of enhancing Chinese Researcher Profiles. Collaborating closely with our parent team of over 30 dedicated professionals in India, you will report to the Content Manager, Scholarly People, and join a dynamic team committed to excellence in data integrity and quality. About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments: Education: Must possess a minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Life Sciences or a closely related field. Experience: Open to fresh graduates or candidates with experience. While experience in academic publishing, bibliography management, or research publication is highly valued, it is not a mandatory requirement. Skills: Proficiency in the Chinese language is essential for reading, writing, and editing tasks is a MUST. Familiarity with academic bibliographies, understanding of the publication process, and awareness of research methodologies in the Life Sciences. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in academic profiles and publications. Accomplishments: Any previous accomplishments in academic editing, publishing, or related projects will be considered an asset. Demonstrable contributions to academic or research projects, even at the university level, can be a plus. It would be great if you are... What will you be doing in this role Reviewing and Editing Academic Profiles: Conduct thorough reviews of Chinese Researcher Profiles, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and correctly attributed to the respective individuals. Correcting Bibliographic Errors: Identify and correct errors in academic bibliographies, including incorrect authorship claims, publication details, and affiliations. Collaborating with the Parent Team: Work closely with the parent content operations team in India to align on best practices, share insights, and ensure consistency in quality standards across all profiles. Engaging with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify and verify profile information, fostering a collaborative relationship. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay informed about the latest developments in academic publishing and bibliographic management, applying this knowledge to continually enhance the quality of researcher profiles. About the Team Joining our team as an Associate Content Editor place you at the heart of our ambitious project focused on enhancing the integrity and accuracy of Chinese Researcher Profiles within the Web of Science platform. Our team, an extension of the Content Operations division based in Penang, collaborates closely with over 30 dedicated professionals in India, contributing to a global effort to maintain the highest standards of academic data quality. Internally, we work alongside content editors, specialists, and content manager, while externally, our stakeholders include researchers, academic institutions, and publishing entities. With a project of significant scale, our team size is optimized for agility and effectiveness, allowing for a hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation.
