The Associate Dean of Student Journey plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience. The Student Journey sector comprises the key entry point to our institution, and then the learning and development cycles followed by long-term relations which are important touchpoints for our student and alumni\'s experience. This role oversees the initial interface with prospective students with the admission of qualified students and leads on to building an immersive learning experience through our action learning pedagogy, career guidance for our students as they prepare to join the work environment and thereafter, sustaining our bonds and relations with our alumni across the world. Specifically, the Sector covers the offices for Admissions for the recruitment of our prospective MBA, EMBA, and MIM programs; Action Learning experience which matches classroom learning with hands-on application in real-life corporate settings; Career Development Office as we help usher our students into careers upon graduating; and Alumni Relations, for enduring ties with each successive generation of graduating cohorts. This position requires a dedicated and forward-thinking professional who is passionate and able to integrate, strategize, and execute the whole journey to support our students\' success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
1. Action Learning
a) Develop and execute a comprehensive Action Learning (AL) program strategy aligned with the organization\'s goals and objectives.
b) Identify program priorities, milestones, and timelines, ensuring efficient use of resources.
c) Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather input, refine program objectives, and establish measurable outcomes.
2. Career Development Office
a) Drive students\' career planning activities on a broad range of career paths, resources and development opportunities.
b) Provide group and one-on-one advice to students on goal setting, job search strategy, and personal marketing tools
c) Sustain up-to-date knowledge of employment trends, industry-specific recruiting processes and career paths
3. Admissions
a) Collaborate with the admissions team to attract and admit a diverse and qualified student body.
b) Develop and implement strategies to improve the admissions process and enhance the applicant experience. This includes student admission strategies for our degreed programs and career development strategies for post-degree job placements.
c) Plan and design comprehensive new student orientation programs.
d) Ensure that incoming students are well-informed about our policies, resources, and support services.
e) Oversee academic advising services to help students set and achieve academic goals.
4. Alumni
a) Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy to connect with alumni on a regular basis.
b) Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with alumni through regular communication to manage alumni relations
c) Identify and engage key alumni volunteers and leaders to assist in alumni engagement efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master\'s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field
Ten (10) years of experience in student affairs or a related field, with a demonstrated record of progressively responsible leadership roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in student affairs.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the student journey.
