What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing centre of operational excellence supporting various countries across multiple geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements \xe2\x80\x93 income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our \xe2\x80\x98centres of excellence\xe2\x80\x99 and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

The Project management teams objective is to ensure Transition activities and all project related deliverables are met through the delivery timeframe. The team would also be required to own, lead and oversee key projects within Client Operations Malaysia, ensure strategic goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. Independently manage time critical projects, provide support to requirement gathering, post deployment support and maintenance.

What will you do?

Plan and manage delivery of key projects, including gathering of business requirements, scope and deliverables by ensuring risk assessments and contingency plans are identified.

Establish and lead program/ project teams by setting out vision and case for change. Develop team ways of working, encourage collaboration, and create an atmosphere for high-performing teams

Actively participate and drive key strategic projects within Client operations with the objective to improve and transform operations

Support existing/New process maintenance and development

Manage relationships and communications with all key project stakeholders and sponsors.

Provide analysis to monitor workstream milestone reports so that any impacts to schedule can be escalated as needed

Participate in scenario analysis on schedule to recover any slippages identified

Serving as a liaison and building bridges among project teams within the program

Managing all aspects of an organizational program to ensure all projects within the program are implemented, accepted and accomplished within a set deadline

Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.

Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.

Managing delivery of the project according to the plan.

Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.

Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.

Identifying and mitigating potential risks.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or MBA.

Project Management Certification PMP/ PMI.

Driving enterprise projects using levers like Lean six sigma, process reengineering and Agile methodologies.

10 - 12 Years of experience in Banking, Finance, IT enabled services(BPO) with leading projects, usually involving large cross-enterprise teams across multiple disciplines and of a business functional unit significance.

5+ years of experience in project management, project coordination, Operational Excellence, Quality.

Exhibit leadership, prioritization, problem solving, adaptability.

A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.

Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

Proficiency in written and spoken English, result-oriented, self-driven person with a high energy level, analytical and structured thought process.

Participated/delivered large scale end-end projects.

Nice to Have

Ability to breakdown End to End process to identify and coordinate process changes which align to specific timelines and requirement.

Lean and Six sigma certification will be added advantage

Experience in drafting proposals and business cases for sponsorship from Senior Leadership teams.

Hands-on experience in end-user requirement gathering, creating user-stories for developers, creation and execution of test cases aligned with end-user requirement.

Attentive to detail.

Ability to multi-task.

Demonstrates motivation and enthusiasm.

Works well in a high\xc2\xb7stress environment.
